International sea transportation operation procedures

1. Inquiry

Please inform the forwarder of the following information: cargo weight, number of pieces, product name (whether dangerous or not), brand, payment method, port of shipment, port of destination, factory address, container type and container quantity;

★ Related to the brand, need to provide the brand authorization letter, involved in dangerous goods to provide MSDS, goods transportation conditions assessment report, dangerous package certificate.

★CIF quote = sea freight + incidental fee + document fee + sealing fee + bill change fee + port incidental fee + bill issuing fee + customs declaration fee + shipping fee + dock handling fee + surcharge

★ Sea freight composition =O/F+THC/ORC+DOC+SEAL+EIR+VGM, Europe and the United States, the Mediterranean line generally receive ORC, other lines receive THC, the United States line and AMS.


2. Booking space

Please make the booking to the forwarder, who will book the goods according to the requirements.

The forwarder sends SO and gives SO to the forwarder.

★ Pay attention to the time of VGM\SI, the time of opening and returning the container, and the time of closing, so as to avoid the extra cost caused by the delay of sailing.


3. Loading cabinets

Give SO, loading address, contact person, phone number, loading time and other information to the tow truck driver.

The driver uses SO to order and empty the container.

The driver will send the container number, seal number, license plate, driver's contact information and container number to the next person according to the picture.

After loading the goods, seal the door and return the heavy container to the dock.


4. Customs Declaration

Process: declaration → release or inspection → release

Declaration: After reloading the container, declare to the customs before the cut-off time shown on SO.

★ The documents required for customs declaration, commercial invoice, packing list, contract, and the documents required by the product itself, such as commodity inspection, license, etc

Inspection: Customs inspection is divided into two kinds, one is inspection, a random inspection, organic inspection and manual inspection, random inspection, is usually random machine selection.

5. Bill of lading

The bill of lading shall be changed and confirmed in the content of BOOKING, and the shipowner shall issue the confirmation copy to the shipper.

The shipper shall confirm the bill of lading with the shipowner according to the actual contents.

The content of the bill of lading is generally consistent with the content of customs declaration, and can also be adjusted according to the situation of customs clearance.
